Welcome Teachers and Directors!
We are so happy that you have joined us for our festival. During the day, you will have the opportunity to watch your students learn from some of the best clinicians in the area. You are encouraged to sit in and observe any of the clinics taking place during the day. If you have any special concerns or needs, please do not hesitate to ask. We will do everything we can to make your day run smooth!
Registration
At registration, you were likely handed a packet of information for all of your students in each particular clinic. Please ensure that all of your students receive their information, and make sure they all receive a gold wristband. These wristbands are their meal ticket for supper so they must keep them on.
Band & Orchestra Auditions
Band and orchestra auditions will be taking place first thing in morning. Please help your students find their audition area (listed in the festival schedule) as soon as they receive their registration info from you. If you need help finding the correct area, please seek our festival staff. They are around to help you find your way!
Art and Choir
Once art and choir students receive their registration materials from their director, they will be asked to move to the gymnasium, where they will relax and hang out as registration continues. Once the guest clinician is ready, those groups will be escorted to their clinic rooms.
Meals
Your meals for the day will be provided for you (compliments of the festival). For lunch, you will join all other teachers and directors for a special gathering to discuss the evening events and the new opportunities for the next years festival. It is very important that you attend this meeting! Please find a staff member for directions at lunch time!
For supper, you will eat with your students in our buffet provided by the festival.
Keep an Eye Out for the Press!
During the day, the festival journalism crew will be recording and noting each festival event. They will be wearing press badges so they will be easy to identify. We encourage you to reach out and engage them, and incorporate them into your day by allowing them personal interviews, insights, and photos.
The evening events begin at 6:15PM with the festival art show. The musical concert will begin at 7PM, with concert doors opening at 6:30PM. The complete events schedule for the day is listed for you below.
